It has been in existence since at least the S21 series and has made its way over to subsequent iterations of the devices. However,m with the newest variant, it seems the feature is currently buggy [?]. This is because numerous users have voiced their concern that Magnifier Widget does not use full screen to display the image in their Galaxy S23 Ultra. Instead, it just uses a small rectangle within the screen. While it is definitely quite an infuriating issue, however, the lack of its reporting has really raised a few eyebrows as to whether it’s actually an issue or just how this feature is now supposed to function. While it’s too early to cement either of these two statements, we still manage to find out a nifty workaround that should help you address this “issue”. So without further ado, let’s check it out.

How to Force Magnifier Widget to use full screen to display images in S23 Ultra

To rectify this issue, you need to switch to either HD+ or FHD+ screen resolutions as the issue is only reported in WQHD+ resolutions. Moreover, between HD+ and FHD+, it’s the former one [HD+] which is giving out the best full-screen results. So it’s recommended to go for HD+ or FHD+ and the Magnifier Widget on your Galaxy S23 Ultra will then use full screen to display the image.

As far as the official stance on this matter is concerned, the developers are yet to acknowledge this issue, let alone give out any ETA for the rollout of a fix. As and when any of these two things happen, we will update this guide accordingly. In the meantime, the aforementioned workarounds are your best bet.
